It seems like reality is basically just a repetitive cycle of mass shootings, wildfires, white men getting away with pretty much everything, protests, unbelievable politics, misogyny, racism, constant injustice and missing morals.
Some days, it’s hard to believe anything will ever change in a substantial way. Some days, I feel like we’re stuck in a vortex of devolution, instead of evolving to become more accepting and open-minded.
We’ve become such a nasty festering wound of anger and hostility. I’ve tried to accept that our nation is being eaten by these parasitic politicians and their supporters, who are the way they are because of overwhelming fear that they’d never admit to because of their fragile egos. They fear people who aren’t like them, they fear their weapons will get taken away, they fear their privilege will get taken away, they fear they might actually have to admit to having questionable morals even though they’ve convinced themselves they’re good people because of the god they believe in.
Because they fear not being in control, that fear has turned to hate and that hate has been fed and continues to be fed by this dangerous flammable rhetoric of unstable, even more fearful, mouthpieces.
Sometimes it feels like we’re trying to put out these flames of hate, fear, anger and violence with mere buckets of water.
